The Laboratory focuses on physicochemical characterization of pharmaceutical substances and nanomaterials using modern analytical equipment and advanced ISO approved methods and techniques.
Laboratory of Colloidal Systems
The Laboratory focuses on:
- development of novel methods for production of aggregative-stable colloidal systems for biomedical applications, in particular, colloidal nanoparticles of metals, carbon-based nanostructures and fluorescent quantum dots;
- functionalizing of nanoparticles, chemical design of colloidal systems «metal nanoparticles-biomolecules», «metal nanoparticles-drug molecules», Q-dots and biomolecules conjugates;
- investigation of long-term stability of the colloidal systems;
- kg-scaling of the technologies.
Laboratory of Electron Microscopy
The Laboratory focuses on research and characterization of nanomaterials, nanostructures and biological objects by methods of high resolution scanning electron microscopy.
Modern facilities allows to study the morphology, structure and elemental composition, perform complex preparation of samples.
Laboratory of Optical Spectroscopy
The Laboratory focuses on research and characterization of pharmaceuticals, nanomaterials and nanastructures using methods of Ultraviolet/Visible, FTIR, DLS, Fluorescence and Raman spectroscopy.
Laboratory of Molecular Nanobiotechnology
The Laboratory is focuses on the development of new methods of diagnostics and therapy using specific biological nanovesicles - exosomes.
Exosomes have size of 30 to 150 nm, are secreted by almost all types of cells and are contained in all human fluids. It is composed of lipids, proteins and nucleic acids. Exosomes have an important effect on the biological processes in the body and are involved in cell-cell communication. Due to its properties, exosomes have a great potential for applications as biomarkers for diagnocs, and for therapy of various diseases.
